Yellowstone National Park lies in three states, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. If you are taking a vacation in the region, there is no excuse for missing a visit to one of the most beautiful and unique parks in the world. With over 3400 miles of forested wilderness, you will discover America at its best. Revel in watching wildlife in their natural habitat.
Of course you have heard of Old Faithful, but you perhaps haven't seen her incredible display. More geysers are in the upper geyser basin across the river. There are approximately four miles of boardwalks through the basin so you can safely witness the delicate features of the hot springs. You should get a pamphlet at the trailhead, so you can read about this area and its history. There are also many hiking trails and backcountry camping sites that you can take advantage of. See bears and wolves wandering the forests.
You will find a wide array of lodging and camping facilities, with nine hotels and lodges, and nine campgrounds.
